# Omnia vs Google Antigravity

> Omnia runs, tests, governs and releases the agents you ship. Google Antigravity is for writing code with coding agents, and doesn’t include a place to run the agent once it’s built.

Category: Builders. Checked against Google’s published material on 2026-10-22. Canonical page: https://www.altairalabs.ai/vs/google-antigravity/

## Antigravity helps you write the agent. Omnia runs it.

Omnia is where the agent runs once Antigravity has helped you write it. Antigravity covers the building: a desktop app, a CLI, IDE extensions and an SDK, with no runtime for the finished agent.

## When it matters: The agent you built with Antigravity works on your laptop.

**On Omnia:** Commit it as a pack and Omnia runs it in your cluster. Simulated users try it on its real tools first, the release waits on their results, and it reaches your users in steps with a policy check in front of every tool call. (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/reference/core/promptpacksource/)

**On Google Antigravity:** Google’s guidance is to use the Antigravity SDK to build your own runtime. Hosting, eval gates, rollout and tool policy aren’t part of Antigravity. (source: https://cloud.google.com/blog/topics/developers-practitioners/io26-news-for-agent-developers-on-google-cloud)

## A runtime you don’t have to build

Omnia installs into your Kubernetes cluster with Helm, autoscales, drains conversations cleanly when a pod goes away, and serves each agent over WebSocket, REST, A2A or MCP. (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/explanation/agents/autoscaling/)

Google Antigravity: The SDK gives programmatic control over the agent harness to deploy on your own infrastructure. (source: https://developers.googleblog.com/all-the-news-from-the-google-io-2026-developer-keynote/)

## Testing before release

Adversarial callers and duplex voice calls run alongside the simulated users. A failure in production becomes a scenario every later version has to pass. *(enterprise)* (Omnia docs: https://promptarena.altairalabs.ai/arena/explanation/scenario-design/)

## Governed once it’s live

Each tool call is checked against a CEL rule and carries the end user’s identity. The audit records what happened on whose authority, and traces go to your OpenTelemetry collector. *(enterprise)* (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/how-to/security/configure-tool-policies/)

## Questions

**Is Antigravity a competitor to Omnia?**

They do different jobs. Antigravity is for building software with coding agents; Omnia runs, tests and governs the agents your users talk to.

**Can an agent written with Antigravity run on Omnia?**

Yes. Write it as a pack and Omnia runs it natively, or run it in its own container and Omnia governs and tests it as an agent from another framework.
