# Omnia vs Kore.ai

> Omnia gates each release on recorded duplex voice tests and rolls out in steps with automatic rollback. For the phone line, Kore.ai’s docs describe a person testing on a softphone.

## Kore.ai tests the phone line by hand. Omnia tests it on every release.

Omnia’s voice tests call the agent on every release and gate it on the result. Kore.ai publishes immutable versions and evaluates against adversarial personas, but for the phone line its docs describe a person testing on a softphone.

## When it matters: A contact-centre agent gets a new version the night before a billing run.

**On Omnia:** Before release, simulated callers ring it with questions about their bill, and some cut in while it’s reading out the amount. Every call is recorded. A version that lost its place after an interruption stays at the gate, and one that passes starts on a share of the calls. (Omnia docs: https://promptarena.altairalabs.ai/arena/how-to/voice/setup-voice-testing/)

**On Kore.ai:** Voice testing is a call you make yourself: speak to the agent using the built-in softphone. Automated interruption and silence testing aren’t documented. (source: https://docs.kore.ai/agent-platform/testing)

## Voice tests that run themselves

Voice scenarios run as duplex audio on every version, without a tester on the line. Each call is recorded, so whoever fixes a failure can play it back. (Omnia docs: https://promptarena.altairalabs.ai/arena/how-to/voice/setup-voice-testing/)

Kore.ai: Eval suites use simulated personas; voice is tested by speaking to the agent on a softphone. (source: https://docs.kore.ai/agent-platform/testing)

## Promotion on the numbers

A version has to pass the suite before it’s promoted, and then it takes traffic in steps. If its metrics drop, Omnia rolls it back. Conversations already running stay on the version they started on. *(enterprise)* (Omnia docs: https://promptarena.altairalabs.ai/arena/how-to/interfaces/run-in-ci/)

Kore.ai: Dev, Staging and Prod slots; you confirm behaviour in staging and click Rollback to restore the previous deployment. (source: https://docs.kore.ai/agent-platform/deployment)

## Argument-level policy

A CEL rule reads each tool call’s arguments and the caller’s identity, then allows or refuses the call. If the broker can’t answer, the call is refused. *(enterprise)* (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/how-to/security/configure-tool-policies/)

Kore.ai: Per-tool auth and consent settings, guardrails, circuit breakers and rate limits. Argument-level policy isn’t documented. (source: https://docs.kore.ai/agent-platform)

## Questions

**Which models does each support?**

Both are model-neutral. Omnia speaks seven providers’ native protocols, including realtime voice models, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

**How is Omnia priced?**

Free while you build, the core free in production, and an enterprise licence per environment per year from £30,000. Nothing is metered per conversation.
