# Omnia vs OpenClaw Enterprise

> Omnia versions everything the agent runs on, tests each version before it serves, rolls back automatically and audits what the agent did. OpenClaw Enterprise’s revisions don’t include workspace files such as AGENTS.md.

## OpenClaw Enterprise decides who can deploy the agent. Omnia governs what it does after that.

Omnia versions everything the agent runs on and tests each version before it serves. OpenClaw Enterprise controls who deploys OpenClaw and Codex agents, but its revisions leave out workspace files such as AGENTS.md.

## When it matters: Someone edits the agent’s AGENTS.md.

**On Omnia:** Instructions are part of the pack, so the edit makes a new version. Simulated users try it before it serves, it goes out in steps, and the audit records which version answered each conversation. (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/reference/core/promptpacksource/)

**On OpenClaw Enterprise:** Workspace files such as AGENTS.md sit outside the configuration draft and the AgentRevision, and edits survive a redeploy. The revision doesn’t record them. (source: https://docs-enterprise.openclaw.org/guides/topics/workspace-files/)

## What ran is what you versioned

Prompts, instructions, tools, policy and tests are one versioned pack, loaded from git, OCI or a ConfigMap. Changing any of them makes a new version, and its test results belong to it. (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/reference/core/promptpacksource/)

OpenClaw Enterprise: Each deployment creates an immutable revision; workspace files are separate from it. (source: https://docs-enterprise.openclaw.org/guides/topics/agent-revisions/)

## Tested, gated, and reversible

Adversarial callers join the simulated users, and a version that fails isn’t released. If one passes and then degrades on live traffic, the stepped rollout returns traffic to the previous version. (Omnia docs: https://promptarena.altairalabs.ai/arena/explanation/scenario-design/)

OpenClaw Enterprise: Agent evaluation isn’t documented. The public API has no rollback operation: you restore the old settings and redeploy. (source: https://docs-enterprise.openclaw.org/guides/topics/agent-revisions/)

## An audit of what the agent did

Each tool call, policy decision and session event is recorded with the agent version and the user it acted for. The log is archived as Parquet you can query from your warehouse. *(enterprise)* (Omnia docs: https://omnia.altairalabs.ai/reference/policies/sessionprivacypolicy/)

OpenClaw Enterprise: The audit covers resource changes, denials and revision activation. Prompts and model responses are out of scope; retention and export aren’t implemented yet. (source: https://docs-enterprise.openclaw.org/guides/topics/audit-log/)

## Questions

**Is OpenClaw Enterprise production-ready?**

Its announcement says it is being developed ahead of a 1.0 release later in 2026, and points organisations at internal pilots for now.

**Do I need Kubernetes for Omnia?**

Omnia installs into Kubernetes, and the same agent definition also deploys to AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Vertex Agents or Azure AI Foundry.
